HOPE COMMUNITY CHURCH

H.O.P.E.

A HOUSE OF PRAYER FOR EVERYONE

EXALTING JESUS CHRIST

FOR HIS FREEDOM

AND VICTORY

IN ALL SEASONS OF LIFE

AND IN ALL CIRCUMSTANCES

About Us

Hope Community Church, originally named Knox Presbyterian Church, was established as a congregation in 1948.

The congregation has been in its current building since 1966 and the building was dedicated in 1967.

In 2007, after major renovations and upgrades to become 100% accessible,

the building and congregation was rededicated

as a House of Prayer for the Nations.

For us this means being

a House of Prayer for Everyone

Our number one objective is to ensure that everything

(worship, ministry, leadership, missions, outreach & evangelism) is governed and shaped by prayer.

To accomplish this we endeavor to be a permission giving Church.

The uniqueness of our congregation is that we have no committees and the Elders meets weekly for prayer.

In everything we encourage a spirit of cooperation

as we cooperate with the Holy Spirit.

Life at Hope Community Church

is designed around the concept of

HOPE FOR YOU

HOPE FOR EVERYONE

HOPE FOR WELLAND

HOPE FOR THE NATIONS

We would love to have you visit us at

Hope Community Church.

Our Sunday worship begins at 10:30 am.

Worship follows the simple format of: praising, preaching and praying

Participants are free to express their worship

through clapping, raising their hands  or simply

responding with glad and sincere hearts.

Preaching is focused on the Gospel, knowing Jesus and making Him known.

In our prayer time we pray for healing with the laying on of hands and anointing with oil; prayer is also focused on seeking wholeness, freedom and victory in Jesus.

The Rev. Bernie McGale is our pastor.

His focus in ministry is to teach, mentor & equip people to hear the voice of the Lord, to discern the obstacles to hearing His voice so that by effective listening prayer they can become effective witnesses to the Gospel of the Risen Christ.

This also includes teaching, mentoring & equipping for spiritual warfare.
